The Voyagers' Dream

Thanks to Lyra, I get to publish my second attempt at understanding the enigma of Voyages, this time on a positive note..

THE VOYAGERS' DREAM

A leaf flutters in the wind, breaks away from its roots
A child runs into the field, with shouts of glee and hoots
A heart flutters with nervousness, reaching for its goal
A journey begins, a Voyage for the soul.

The hunger for new challenges lies unexplored,
Of vanquishing your enemies you so deplored!
But things aren't as rosy as they seem,
The rough patch has just begin, do not scream!

Balmy, palpable tension lays the air heavy.
Every single glitch renders courage unsteady.
The soul yearns for another of its kind,
To comfort, support and steady from behind.

And so a whisper cuts through the silent dark,
Brings out relief, lights a comforting spark.
Joy unparalleled invigorating the breath, and rightly so.
For the Voyage has been ardous, right from the word go.

'Cause tis' true, every little thing that matters,
Cannot be handed out on silver platters.
And if you could live to see the celebration,
Of reaching the goal, your own creation!

Yes, it's the journey that matters the most.
Of fighting the spirits and vanquishing the ghost.
Of finding the sceptre that lays our fears askance,
That destroys despair, cowardice and ignorance.

So, Yes! We won't go down without putting up a fight.
For we live for shouting out the blissful joy of delight,
Of winning, of giving our blood, sweat and tears.
For the journey vanishes all nagging fears.

So push your belts up, get ready for the ride,
We are Voyagers, in the Journey we take great pride!
